Patient Details:
This patient in her 20’s was interested in having Asian blepharoplasty. The procedure creates an upper lid crease in Asian patients that do not naturally have this crease. After seeing Dr. Tong, it was decided that she would have a conservative degree of crease height created that would parallel the margin of the upper lid. The partial incision technique was used, and performed under IV sedation. The photos show her result at 6 weeks post-surgery. The key to successful double fold creation is to make it look natural. This is achieved by keeping the crease height conservative, making sure that there is perfect symmetry, and removing excess fat when necessary. The patient was very happy with the outcome as the eyes are more beautiful. They look larger, more expressive, and the upper eye lashes are everted (making them more visible).
