Patient Details:
This patient presented with a previous rhinoplasty that used a long dorsal implant to augment the bridge and tip. Her concerns included the implant looking too sharp at the tip, and an overall unnatural appearance. Examination revealed that the implant was putting significant pressure on the tip skin and I was concerned about eventual extrusion of the implant.
Rhinoplasty was performed to replace the implant using diced cartilage graft on the bridge (from the ear), and septal cartilage at the tip. Her result is shown at 6 months after surgery with slightly lengthened nose and a much more natural and softer appearance.
